Hackard explains the near-constant elements present in so many of these feuds, from how they get started to how they can get resolved. Since I myself work in trust litigation, I appreciate the author's professionalism, and the book is also a big help for laymen who are facing these not-so-pleasant circumstances. An engaging and highly useful work by a veteran in his field."

- This was good but I hate how they always bring up that the executor is the one to watch for it Family it does happen bug when families are trying to help .. they can’t because the exploiters turn them against there families and friends and say they are the ones stealing from the victim so this gives the financial exploiters ammunition to turn the victim away from family and friends it happened to me.

- When a family member dies, it is always a logistical and emotional challenge, but in circumstances where those issues are made worse because someone changed their estate plan without discussing it with their family and people are surprised by what the will or trust says, this book provides some insightful guidance on what to expect if a court battle over the estate is going to happen. It is clear you definitely should consult an attorney, but this book lets you know what to expect when you call the attorney, what factors they will consider and gives you a little window into how things could pan out.
- What a great follow up to Michael’s first book “The Wolf at the Door.†Found the information helpful in managing my expectations in how to deal with the estate after a loved one passes away. Especially helpful if you have a complicated family situation. Nice to have someone breakdown the law in layman’s terms.
